Mountains Of Pakistan

Pakistan is home to numerous mountains, from the very well known K2, to the obscure but beautiful Musa ka Musallah. Every peak is unique and has something to offer, to both the locals and tourists. With over a hundred peaks above 7,000 meters and four of the highest peaks in the world, the various mountains are inundated with mountaineers and geologists alike.

Pakistan owns many mountains like northern and western mountains above 7,000 metres (22,970 ft). Five of the world's fourteen mountains taller than 8,000 metres (26,000 ft) ("eight-thousanders") are in Pakistan, four of which are near Concordia.

Most of Pakistan's high peaks are located in the Karakoram range, the highest of which is K2 8611 meter long (8,611 metres (28,251 ft)), the second-highest peak on earth. The highest peak of Himalayan range in Pakistan is Nanga Parbat (8,126 metres (26,660 ft)), which is the ninth-highest peak of the world.

  • Toba Kakar, a southern offshoot of the Hindu Kush in Balochistan
  • Makran Range, a semi-desert coastal strip in the south of Balochistan, in Iran and Pakistan near the coast of the Arabian Sea. Of its 1,000-kilometre (620 mi) extent, about 750 kilometres (470 mi) is in Pakistan

  • Kirthar Range, located along the Balochistan and Sindh provincial border. It runs north-south for about 300 kilometres (186 mi) from the Mula River in east-central Balochistan south to Cape Muari (Cape Monze) west of Karachi on the Arabian Sea.

The lake is spread over an area of over 260 square kilometres (100 square miles). The highest lake in Pakistan is the Paristan lake, which is also the 25th highest lake in the world at an altitude of over 4,755 metres (15,600 ft). The second highest lake in Pakistan is the Karambar Lake, which is located at an altitude of 4,272 metres (14,016 ft), is the 33rd highest lake in the world.

Saif-ul-Maluk lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and the melting glaciers from these peaks continue to feed the lake, which is the source of the Kunhar River. Ratti Gali is a high-altitude lake in Pakistan fed by glacial waters of the mountains surrounding it. The lake’s beauty has inspired writers for years, with lush green grass, wildflowers, and cool winds creating a unique ambience. The only way to reach this lake is to hike from the Dowarian base camp.
